Hermès Un Jardin sur le Nil Eau de Toilette is a green woody unisex fragrance, launched in 2005 and created by the legendary in‑house perfumer Jean‑Claude Ellena. It is the second chapter of the Parfums‑Jardins collection, inspired by the floating garden islands of Aswan on the Nile. The result is an impressionistic stroll – a bold, refreshing scent that captures the scent of water, sand and lush riverbank vegetation.

The composition opens with an unexpected, mouth‑watering burst of green mango, bright grapefruit, crisp tomato leaf and earthy carrot. This tangy, vegetal freshness is softened by a luminous heart where lotus flower, bulrush (reed), orange, hyacinth and peony create a delicate, watery floral accord. The base rests on the warm, dry elegance of sycamore wood, accompanied by smoky incense (frankincense) , sweet cinnamon, powdery iris, balsamic labdanum and soft musk.
