Launched in 2024 as part of the Les Essences de Diptyque collection, Lunamaris Eau de Parfum by Diptyque is an amber‑spicy unisex fragrance. Created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, it celebrates the delicate, iridescent beauty of mother‑of‑pearl. The name itself echoes the gentle, gleaming reflections of the moon on the waters of the sea.

The composition opens with a vibrant, luminous burst of pink peppercorn – spicy, bright and slightly tangy. This fresh sparkle is soon enveloped by a warm, spiritual cloud of incense, which lends the heart a dry, almost mineral‑like depth with a meditative quality. The dry‑down is anchored by cistus (rockrose), a resinous note that brings ambery warmth, a subtle leathery touch and an addictive, silky texture.

Described as “warm and mineral incense, completely enveloping” and reminiscent of “moonlight reflections on sea waters”, Lunamaris strikes a perfect balance between vibrant spiciness and profound serenity. It is dry, completely unisex, and devoid of retro or stereotypically masculine/feminine traits.
